Notes to Know: 2021 and Beyond

"If I'd have had more time, I'd have written a shorter letter" ~Blaise Pascal

Congratulations! You made it! 2020 has drawn to a close, and what a tumultuous year it was. You’ve successfully dealt with a global pandemic, major economic crisis, a stock market crash, lockdowns, civil unrest, an election, wildfires, hurricanes, toilet paper shortages, and you even survived a couple of near-miss asteroid passes.

It has been truly rewarding being of service to you this past year. Your patience, your support, and your loyalty through these trying times have been greatly appreciated. Your support helped us accomplish our goal: providing you with excellent service.

Investor success is always dependent on the behavioral choices investors make: you made smart choices and have been a pleasure to work with. Again, congratulations on seeing 2020 to a close!

While we at Cascade have been responsibly distanced, we have not been idle. Indeed, we focused not only on the challenges of 2020 but took extra steps to keep you informed. As this year’s disruption unfolded, we continued to spend our time and resources in our continuing effort to be better positioned to serve you. To this end, we’ve further developed our professional network in preparation for entering 2021 with a clear expectation of considerable change in tax, estate, and overall financial planning.

In the continuing quest to expand the services you have access to, today, we at Cascade are excited to share the next step in our continuing efforts to improve your experience.

To serve you even better, we are pleased to announce that Cascade is joining forces with Apollon Wealth Management, a Charleston, South Carolina-based advisory firm. Apollon shares many values with Cascade, primarily our focus on the success and wellbeing of our clients. While we see many similarities, we also found that the two firms have many complementary aspects as well, and we look forward to bringing the best features of both firms together for you.

You might be thinking: SO, HOW DOES THIS AFFECT ME?

We are pleased to say that we have endeavored to make this merger as seamless as possible.

FOR OUR CLIENTS: There will be no changes to our custodian relationships, your accounts, or your advisory team. As usual, there will be some signatures required acknowledging the merger, but this will be condensed to one form, which can be completed electronically.

FOR OUR VENDORS & PARTNERS: Things will be business as usual as our leadership and client service teams remain in place. The merger does bring additional opportunities for all of us in terms of an ever-growing network and broader geographic reach.

The combination of the resources and support team at Apollon with the service and advisor teams at Cascade is truly a powerful combination designed to serve you better. New resources, particularly in the area of services for business owners, makes this a better time than ever to become part of the Cascade family! Furthermore, this enhanced infrastructure serves to help ensure that Cascade will be here for you, and your family, for decades to come.

Looking forward, we couldn’t be more excited to share the many benefits of our growing team with you. Hopefully, you are as excited as we are to experience the many benefits our growing team can provide for you.

So long 2020 - Here’s to 2021 and beyond.

Make it a great day!
